Difference between automatic and manual enrollment

If you already created or imported your prospects (organizations, deals) and now want them to start your workflow, you need to enroll them manually.

Note: a workflow needs to be ON to enroll prospects, organizations, or deals manually.

The automatic enrollment is suitable if you want the prospects (organizations, deals) to start your workflow automatically after a certain event happens (e.g., prospects were added to a list, opened an email, etc.).

Note: automatic enrollment is not retroactive. Prospects (organizations, deals) will not be enrolled if the selected trigger event happened before the workflow is set ON.

Manual Enrollment

Enroll one prospect/organization/deal

  1. Open the needed prospect's (organization's or deal's) page, click on the Workflow button.

  2. Select the needed workflow from the list.
If you want the prospect to start the flow not from the beginning, but a specific step, click Enroll on a specific step button and choose the needed step.

  3. Click Enroll Now button to start the workflow for the prospect right away, or Schedule Enrollment to select the start date.

Enroll prospects/organizations/deals in bulk

  1. Navigate to the Prospects (Organizations or Deals) page and select the needed prospects.

  2. Click Manage prospects > Enroll in workflow.

  3. Choose the needed workflow from the drop-down list.
If you want the prospects to start the flow not from the beginning, but a specific step, click Enroll on a specific step button and choose the needed step.

  4. Click Enroll Now to start the workflow right away, or Schedule Enrollment to select the start date.

Automatic Enrollment

Where to enable automatic enrollment

In a new workflow:

Choose the option Manually and automatically.

In an existing workflow:

Select the option Enroll prospect automatically in the Enrollment strategy.

Set enrollment triggers

Then select a trigger – when you want the prospects, organizations, or deals to start this workflow. Once the selected event happens, the system automatically starts the workflow for this prospect, organization, or deal.

You can narrow the audience of this workflow by adding filters.
